A Medium, in the world of Psychics, refers to a person who acts as a (Psychic) Medium or a Channel between this physical world and the other—heavenly or astral—world of spirits.
Most psychic mediums evoke the spirits of the dead people and connect them with their survivors. This generally happens when a member of a family dies a sudden death and takes away some crucial piece of information along with him. Or, he dies a very painful death. The worried survivors wish to know how the deceased felt at the time of death and also how he feels now.
Some people wish to know about the mystery of death, how and what a person feels before, during and possibly after the death. These mysteries have often tormented the people.
In another situation, a person may die in mysterious circumstances. He may have been murdered with the intention of robbery; or, he may have been a witness to a criminal act that led to his murder.
Such events often become headaches for the law enforcement agencies. They approach the psychic mediums to untie the knots in the investigative process.
How does a psychic medium act?
A psychic medium goes into trance, a sleep-like state, in which the person loses the awareness of his body and surroundings. Some psychics induce this state of trance into other people, who then are called the psychic mediums.
As normal human beings see dreams in sleep, a psychic medium also experiences a somewhat dreamlike state in which he communicates or interacts with the spirits of the dead people.
This communication is facilitated between the medium and the spirit because the spirit is a bodiless entity and the psychic medium also becomes bodiless as he goes into trance.
Both the psychic medium and the spirit come at the same wavelength with each other. In simple words, a psychic medium can evoke the spirit entities by going into a state of trance.
